I am on my third bottle, 2nd set of o rings, 2nd check valve..... and i have at least 10 instances where I have come home or been at home and 3 Gallons of water is on the floor. The concept is great the quality is bad, and the customer service tries but is a hassle so instead of calling yet again( 1 1/2 years of this drama) I am at least going to try and warn others. Fed Up!
I purchased the medium waterer. First things first, it arrived with a crack in the water bottle, causing the entire 3 gallens of water to leak all over my wood floor in the kitchen. I contacted Ergosys and they sent me out a new water bottle - problem solved. About 3 months went by and it worked perfect until I came home to another leakage. I inspected the waterer and found the water to be coming out of the gap between the bowl and the filter. Further inspection showed the leak to be from the O-rings. I contacted Erosys and instead of sending me a new unit or making the issue right. Instead they told me to spread patrolium jelly on the O-rings and call them back if the problem happens again. I broke down and bought two new O-rings ($5.00), put them in place and the problem seamed to be fixed. Today I returned home from work to find yet another leakage. I contacted Erosys and again they began going through a list of trouble shooting tips rather then providing me with a new unit of at least offering a solution rather then a fix it for now idea. At $100.00 a shot this thing should work for at least 2 or 3 years before I''m having these types of property damaging problems. I did end up buying 2 more O-rings and another bowl for this thing, we shall see what happens now. In closing, don''t expect good customer service if you have problems and just a heads up, this thing leaks. On another note, I also bought the autofeeder at the same time I bought the waterer and I will say my cat as well as I share the love for it.
